Cambridge Regional College are currently seeking a Communication Support Worker to join them on a temporary basis.

Hours: 9am-4pm Tuesdays & Thursdays
Pay rate: £15 per hour plus statutory holiday pay

To work under supervision and guidance of the d/Deaf Support Coordinator.
To work in class with deaf learners to facilitate communication and access using a range of communication modes and strategies as appropriate.(for example, note-taking, BSL/SSE, Lipspeaking and language modification).
To liaise closely with teaching staff regarding the delivery of the course, advising as appropriate on the modification and differentiation of the learning environment, materials and delivery styles.
The person and qualifications:
Full Level 3 Certificate in British Sign Language.
Experience of supporting in FE or an educational establishment.
Knowledge of issues relating to Deaf Awareness and Deaf Community and Culture.
