Transport Coordinator
Location: Warrington
Full time / permanent / Shift - 4 on 4 off
Role Purpose:
To assist with all transport administration providing exceptional customer service to the end customer, stores and in line with company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for ensuring all drivers receive the correct paperwork in line with both company procedures and legal requirements
Prepare driver packs including use of AX system to print invoice paperwork and store keys prior to drivers starting their shifts and conduct shift pre-briefs ensuring drivers are fully aware of the requirements for the designated route.
Conduct debriefs with drivers on return to the depot ensuring any issues encountered on route are captured and escalated as required.
Telephone drivers en-route to establish ETA's and complete the return profile accordingly
Download driver digital Tachograph cards onto the Tachograph reading system in line with department schedules
Ensure the rota is maintained updating with driver(s) names, route departure times
Contact drivers prior to their next shift confirming their departure time and allocated route
Receive and professionally handle telephone calls and emails from our drivers, customers, stores, franchisees, answering any queries in a timely manner and demonstrating exceptional customer service skills.
Liaise with stores to provide up to date delivery information whilst providing notification of any delivery issues, i.e. late deliveries, fridge failures etc.
Knowledge and Experience (Desirable):
An understanding of Health and Safety Legislation
An understanding of Food Safety Standards
An understanding of working to ISO accreditation
Good geographical knowledge
Knowledge of Transport Legislation, Working Time Directive, EU Driver's Hours and Tachograph laws
