We are looking for an Asset Supply Manager to join a client busy vessel refurbishment and supply department near Manchester.

The successful applicant will provide a competent, safe and cost effective management service to the vessel refurbishment and asset management department. The company operate throughout the UK and Ireland, providing single and double skinned cryogenic vessels, ambient and mechanical vaporisers, liquid cylinders, hydrogen assets and other associated ancillary equipment. As this is a global company occasionally international projects may also need assistance. The demand may be sourced from either refurbished existing stocks or new vessels and equipment that are purchased as required where no existing stocks are available

Responsibilities will be as follows

To be the interface between two sub sections of the clients business, in relation to vessel requirements new and refurbished.

Manage the vessel painting programme and Hydrogen asset programme.

Control the budgets for purchases of new vessel and vaporiser's, hydrogen assets and all refurbishing activities.

Install a behavioural safety culture at the Refurbishment Centre and develop a continuous improvement methodology focusing on all aspects of Safety, Health, Environment and Quality. Development and delivery of the refurbishment centre SHEQ plan and environmental corporate responsibility reporting to group level.

Nurture the day-to-day relationship with the staff, management and directors of one of the key suppliers, to ensure the needs are being met.

Overall responsibility for the management of the workload of the refurbishment centre. This includes company specific training, coaching & monitoring of personnel.

Monitor information to enable accurate forecasts for future requirements of new and refurbished vessels. Progress the acquisition of vessels to achieve requirement deadlines.

A recognised safety qualification such as the 'IOSH Managing Safely' or 'Nebosh Certificate'

A high level of personal Integrity
