Audit and Accounts Assistant Manager | Top 35 Firm | City of London

This is a perfect opportunity for:

* An Audit Supervisor looking for a step up in their career, wishing to join a Top 30 Practice

* An Assistant Manager perhaps frustrated with a lack of progression in their current role, looking for a pathway to Manager

You will be managing a portfolio of clients, acting as Assistant Manager on Audit work, ensuring deadlines are met and reporting directly to the Managers, Directors or Partners.

The role will be mostly office based, with occasional client site visits when required, and will be split approximately 60% Audit, 40% Accounts.

Responsibilities

* Plan, control and review client work to ensure that the jobs are completed as efficiently and effectively as possible by allocating the resources available

* Briefing staff on the client and the nature of its business; carrying out debrief and providing feedback at the end of assignments

* Ensuring a detailed plan is completed by the Senior, including the information they will need to approach the Audit work, details of potential anomalies, any difficulties that have been encountered during previous Audits

* Reviewing all work received, ensuring any issues are referred back to the Audit staff for completion

* Morning WIP on all jobs within your portfolio, communicating any potential problems and write offs to the Partner

* Preparing fee schedules and bills for Partner review

* Dealing with correspondence from clients

* Delegate, supervise and review the work of Seniors and Juniors; you will be involved in supervising a team of approximately 10 staff

* Involvement in tenders and presentations on Audit and Accounts

Experience

* ACCA or ACA qualified, with a minimum of 2 years' post qualification experience

* Experience working at Supervisory level for at least 1 year

* Ability to manage staff, delegate and review work

* Experience working with OMBs covering a range of industries

* Up to date CPE and with recent developments in Accounting standards
