We have a new opportunity for a Lead Digital Designer to join the team. Starting on the 4th January 2021, you will be working remotely from home / in Crickhowell on a full-time basis and in return you will receive a highly competitive salary of up to £35,000 per annum.

Wey Education plc have created a new role for a Lead Digital Designer to lead the design of high quality and interactive learning experiences for students to ensure learning on the Wey platform is outstanding.

As our Lead Digital Designer in the Wey Technology Team, you will be responsible for:

- Leading, managing and directing the Wey Digital Design team

- Leading on user centred design best practice and accessibility principles.

- Leading on UX, UI and interaction design changes and projects.

- Leading on design projects within gamification, Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, and creative eLearning projects

Skills and Qualifications our ideal Lead Digital Designer will have:

- A graphic/UX design, visual communication, or similar creative degree

- Experience of leading designers and managing requirements backlogs

- Experience with User Interface design patterns and standard UCD methodologies

- Ability to generate modern UI layouts and assets to a very high standard.

- Knowledge of or experience in working on virtual or augmented reality products and emerging technologies

- Knowledge of design/interface accessibility requirements.

- Excellent knowledge of design applications such as Adobe CS suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, XD, InDesign and Animate

- Experience of online learning platforms.

- Strong work ethic and personal accountability

- Strong attention to detail

- Good interpersonal skills

- Creative, organizational and time management skills.

- An understanding of project management stages.

- Excellent presentation and communication are essential.

It would be advantageous for our Lead Digital Designer to also have:

- Background in Unity and Game Engine technologies an advantage

- Any knowledge of HTML, CSS and JS is advantageous but not essential

- Knowledge or experience with working within a 3D environment

- Knowledge or experience of animation and video editing

- Previous experience of working within education or with children in a design capacity.
