Job Details

An internationally known gas control systems manufacturer for the automotive and marine industry are looking to recruit a suitably qualified Multi-skilled Maintenance Technician (both mechanical and electrical skilled ideally 50/50) to maintain their CNC machines, lathes and associated machinery.

You will be responsible for preventative and breakdown maintenance of equipment and ensure that all manufacturing equipment is fully operational at all times.

Job Description:
• Responsible for the routine preventative maintenance of all Fanuc based equipment (such as Doosan, Kitamura, Bridgeport, Hyundai-Kia, Chiron, Fadal, Hitachi and MHP CNC machines and lathes)
• Responsible for reacting to and dealing with breakdowns in machinery on both the machining and assembly sides of the business
• Plan and execute assigned modification, repair and/or maintenance projects with a high degree of complexity with respect to costs, quality, safety and environmental aspects
• Analyses technical problems on site
• Executes start of operation of production service and systems
• Executes mechanical and/or electrical repairs and works orders
• Maintains proper documentation
• Contributes to installation projects on site
• Supports maintenance of technical documentation of processes and equipment
• Dismantles, repairs, assembles and installs mechanical/electrical components on site
• Performs tests and verifies correct functioning
• Sets up and commissions machines and devices
• Check completeness of documents and components for the proper execution of mechanical and electrical tasks
• Prepares mechanical and electrical tools and equipment for use
• May advise junior staff

Skills/experience:
• Must have a relevant qualification in a maintenance and/or engineering discipline
• Must have had industry experience working within an automotive engineering/manufacturing environment
• Must have at least 5 years' experience in maintenance with at least 2 years' experience in a similar Multi-skilled Maintenance Technician role
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations
• A working knowledge of, or hands-on experience with, automotive production processes
• Must be computer literate with a very good knowledge in the use of MS-Office packages
• Must have a full UK drivers licence (may be required to go and get spare parts)

Salary:
Dayshift
£27.844.44 per annum (with a shift premium of £2.0800 per hour)
£30,927.00 per annum (with hourly bonus of £1.52 after successfully completing probationary period)

Nightshift
£31,562.17 per annum (with a shift premium of £3.1932 per hour)
£33.184.57 per annum (with hourly bonus of £1.52 after successfully completing probationary period)

The company makes a 3% pension contribution

Environment:
The company offer an excellent working environment in which you will be required to work the following hours (minimum 39 hours per week):-

Dayshift
4 shifts on 4 shifts off 08:00am to 18:15pm with a half hour unpaid lunchbreak
(8 day rotation)

Nightshift
Monday to Thursday 21:45pm to 08:00am with a half hour unpaid lunchbreak
