Job Details

Joining on an 18 month contract, the Accounts Payable Manager will be responsible for payment processes across all group companies, as well as day-to-day management of the AP team. The company will be implementing a new system in the coming months, which will result in process re-engineering. A key element of this role will be to provide stability and accurate reporting through this period, whilst supporting the wider finance team and business.

Due to their success and continued growth they are looking to hire an Accounts Payable Manager to oversee this transactional team and have the opportunity to add value to the business in particular during their ERP system implementation.

Description

Key responsibilities for the Accounts Payable Manager:

Oversight of the day to day operational running of the financial transaction function including Procure to Pay, Fixed Assets, Concur expense system, VAT.
Line management to two Accounts Payable team members. Development of key metrics to be delivered by the team in line with organisation wide performance management system.
Oversee preparation of all payment runs within the group, including payment approvals and matching items to purchase orders. Review payment run outputs prior to transmission.
Management of shared finance email inbox, distributing information across the finance team as required.
System Champion for new Expense system, including training of staff and review of expense claims.
Ensuring compliance by the team and the wider business and supporting the development of the evolving control environment.
Preparation and review of balance sheet reconciliations, including prepayments and accruals.
Review and approval of month end deliverables by other team members, including review of accuracy of ledger postings.
Support preparation of weekly cash reporting, estimating future cash outflows.
Lead finance induction for new staff members, to familiarise them with systems and processes.
Collate and review audit deliverables. Resolve queries with audit team.
Ad hoc reporting and tasks as required.

Profile

The successful Accounts Payable Manager will have:

A strong all-round knowledge of Accounts Payable management, with proven team management experience.
Strong Excel and financial systems experience, with the ability to manipulate and interpret key financial data.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Demonstrable experience of prioritising workload and managing multiple tight deadlines effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to forge strong internal and external working relationships.Job Offer

The salary on offer is between £50,000 and £60,000 dependent upon experience, plus a generous benefits package
