Clinical Lead / Deputy Manager

40 - 42 hours per week

£20 per hour (£41600 - £43680)

We are looking for an enthusiastic professional Clinical Lead/ Deputy Manager to work in an Elderly Residential home. Our ideal candidate will be able to provide the best care possible for the residents by providing a personal service along with upholding the standards of the client's policies and procedures

Requirements of the role:

Sound written and verbal communication skills
Previous experience in the role is essential - minimum of a year preferred
DBS application will be made as part of application
NMC Registration
HDU skills an advantage
Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as requiredAbout the client:

29 service users
Privately owned nursing home for the elderly
Central location - driver not essential
Rated overall "Good" by CQC
Also a day centre
£20p/h - averages to £41k p/a
Mainly days but must be available for a night if required
40-42 hours a weekThe Clinical Lead/Deputy Manager position involves:

To participate in the quality assurance systems within the Home and The Company and undertake audits and reviews as directed, to assist the Manager to ensure that care planning and care provision reflect best practice
Undertake general nursing work and personal care as appropriate
To undertake induction training and participate in training programmes which may be required to meet legislative or company requirements
In the absence of the Home Manager (in conjunction with the Operations Director), or as delegated by the Home Manager, implement and manage the companies disciplinary policies and procedures, grievance policies and procedures. Where necessary undertaking this role for other homes within The Company
Ensure that meals are of sufficient quantity and quality, and that all Service users' dietary needs are met.
To maintain effective communication with the Home Manager, and to deputise as delegated or in their absence, liaising with the Operations Director.
Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualised care, seeking medical and other interventions as required
In the absence of the Home Manager and the Administrator to ensure continuity of the Payroll
To promote the good reputation of the service and The Company. Ensuring that good relationships are developed and maintained with Service users, their relatives and friends, and all external professionals and outside agencies
Manage, monitor and maintain budgets agreed by the Home Manager and Operations Director and Head Office. Where necessary, in the absence of the Home Manager, take corrective action in conjunction with the Operations Director.
To actively participate in the process of supervision, seeking opportunities for personal and professional growth
In the absence of the Home Manager (in conjunction with the Operations Director), or as delegated by the Home Manager, endeavour to fill any staff vacancy by advertising in agreed manner. Interview for new staff members, with the Home Manager as and when required in line with company policy
To comply with regulations in respect of Health and Safety at Work, COSHH, Environmental Health, Health and Social Care Act, Fire Procedures and any other relevant legislation. Reporting promptly any risks identified
To be "on call" for emergencies which may arise within the home and to cover shifts if all other avenues have been exhausted
