We're looking for an individual who is keen on learning and expanding their programming and general development skills. This Junior Web Developer role is aimed at new graduates or someone moving onto their second role. The role will provide an excellent environment, comprehensive training, and support. This role will teach good practices in a myriad of development disciplines.

The Junior Backend Web Developer will report into the Development Team Leader, but also be assigned a mentor within our experienced Development team.

The Junior Backend Web Developer role will work on multiple systems and websites, and will primarily be focussed on creating new API integrations with third parties and working on other internal projects.
All technology is built in house, from marketing websites to complex operational automation. For this reason, all developer roles come with an enormous amount of variety, and interesting problems to solve.

The development team adopts cohesive, modern, and secure practices with regards to code quality, testing, technical debt, CI/CD, security, version control, and tooling.
The Junior Web Developer role is within a small and engaged development team of 8, where all developers have a similar skillset and collaborate regularly. The team consists of 7 full-stack PHP developers, and 1 devops role.

Junior Backend Web Developer Skills and Experience Required:
- Fresh graduates must have completed either their dissertation or their placement year in web
development or involving web development. (PHP and JavaScript experience is preferable).
- Candidates with more professional experience should have professional PHP and Javascript web development
experience.
