Infrastructure Project Manager | O365 | Data centre migrations | Networks
Infrastructure Project Manager required to join a housing association based in London to provide Project Management guidance and support to Infrastructure projects in the Technology directorate pipeline. Ensuring Infrastructure projects are delivered with a consistent approach, documentation, governance and reporting.
Key Responsibilities and Outcomes
• Ensuring Infrastructure projects are managed consistently by providing a project management approach to these projects.
• Work closely with Service Design & Transition Manager to ensure Infrastructure projects adhere to Service Management principles, processes and policies.
• Work closely with Service Operations Team to ensure projects are delivered with minimal to no impact to Service Operations
• Interpret detailed project charters
• Translate technology infrastructure requirements (high-level and functional)
• Create/maintain a detailed project plan (work breakdown structure)
• Assign and coordinate project resources
• Lead the project team by example; from project kickoff to closure
• Proactive communication with sponsors, stakeholders and team members
• Management of the project scope, deliverables and timeline
• Facilitate project closure and lessons learned
Skills / expertise / knowledge
• Track record of delivering IT infrastructure projects within a technically complex and dynamic environment, specifically that required to support multiple projects.
• Experience of successfully engaging management and groups of technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Working knowledge of Programme Management, e.g. Managing Successful Programmes (MSP), Prince2 and agile project management tools and methodologies.
• Experience of infrastructure transformation due to a merger or otherwise.
• Experience of implementing structure over an environment of high ambiguity and complexity to achieve practical outcomes
• Experience of cross-functional working and the ability to demonstrate a collaborative approach with regards to building key relationships across the Technology directorate and MTVH organisation.
• Experience of managing business change
• Able to demonstrate strong management skills including project management, change management and facilitation.
