CNC operator, Monday-Friday day shift, Peterborough

ATA is working with one of the UKs largest manufacturing groups who is looking for an experienced CNC operator to join their team in East Peterborough. The company, who turn over £400million per annum are a specialist within the production of buildings materials and have an impressive 18 manufacturing sites across England. Attached to their manufacturing plant in Peterborough, the company operate a large workshop which is the central hub for mechanical repairs for the group. Due to the boom within the construction industry, my client is going from strength to strength and have seen their turnover increase 100 million within 3 years. They don't foresee this slowing down anytime soon and have huge growth plans. This includes opening three brand new supersites over the next 10 years which will cement their foothold in the market.
About the role
As an CNC operator, you will have the following responsibilities;
Setting and operating manual and CNC turning machinery
Working to fine tolerance to machine components.
Working on 3-4 job tickets at a time.
Working to 5s standards
Follow best health and safety practices
To be considered for this CNC operator position, you should have the following skillset;
Previous experience within a similar field, ideally from working within a workshop environment.
Be comfortable working within an industrial environment (Dirty & loud).
Experience setting & operating both manual and CNC turning machinery.
Experience working to a fine tolerance.
A proactive mindset, happy to work within a team to achieve targets.
