Applications Engineer (Engines)
Peterborough based with travel in UK and Ireland
Excellent base salary £35k to £40k, car allowance + excellent benefits package

The Company

Due to a sustainable order book and planned growth, they now seek a suitably qualified and experienced Applications Engineer to help continue this impressive development.

The Role
This is a complex position that will require your input into several aspects of the business. A brief overview is shown below but BE AWARE this is only a snapshot of activities.

*Working closely with Sales & Design - Providing input into the applications required to develop sales bids. including working with the client to communicate best options
* Developing designs to integrate 3rd party equipment - Including contributing to component development
* Design & development of site layouts - Focussing on controlling build and maintenance costs, and conveying detailed technical information to the customer
* Conduct document design reviews - Ensuring the quality and integrity of the designs and working with the Design team and Engineering team prior to final approval
* Working with procurement - Providing technical specifications and identifying suppliers to ensure quality and cost, and supplier performance as project progresses

The Ideal Person
This is an important and technical role within an established and successful brand, as such there are certain needs to be met in order to be considered:

Educated to Degree level or Apprentice trained with HND
Applications engineering experience
Mechanical and electrical skills
Solid IT and CAD abilities, with strong interpretation skills
Able to complete simple stress calculations
Experience of Oil & Gas, Electric Power, Industrial or Marine sectors
Experience of working within an engineering office environment
Experience of the design, development, and validation of engineering components
Strong financial acumen and organisational skills
Excellent communication skills across all levels of engineer and client contact
Full UK driving licence and ability to travel within the UK and Ireland without restrictionsThe Rewards
