Senior Systems Test Engineer
Cambridge
£40k-£60k (dep on exp)
One of the UK`s most exciting technology development companies is looking for a multi-skilled Senior Systems Test Engineer to join their team. As the Senior Test Engineer, you will play a pivotal part in defining and executing test protocols for high complexity next generation medical devices - this includes utilising your extensive analytical test experience to create bespoke test environments and rigs for a combination of both software, electronics and electro-mechanical hardware focused arenas.
You will be joining a truly exceptional organisation undergoing rapid growth due to the huge success that their market disruptive technology is having on the healthcare industry. You will be an integral member of the R&D team developing robust system test for brand-new products which are being used to quite literally save people's lives!
Due to the high-compliance and safety critical industry, the Senior Systems Test Engineer should be from a similar highly regulated industry (Medical, Aerospace, Automotive etc.) with an inquisitive and high attention to detail mind-set. As the Senior Systems Test Engineer, you will liaise with both R&D and Manufacturing teams to deliver manual and automated verification, reliability and validation tests of highly complex electromechanical, software and electronics systems. You will help solve manufacturing critical problems with a focus on robust test coverage for all safety critical functions.
Requirements:
A good degree in a technical/scientific discipline or extensive experience in a similar role
Proven track record in a similar role of a Systems / Test Engineer with experience in the design or manufacture of safety critical systems
Technical expertise in at least one area of engineering or manufacturing; mechanical, electronic or software
Familiar with risk management processes including RCA, FMEA and Hazard Analysis
Experience of planning and executing tests from requirements
Great knowledge of manufacturing processes/environment
Good experience of defining system test approaches incorporating Hardware, Software and Mechanics.
Ideally having good exposure to Device Risk Management
Following being highly advantageous:
Verification of Medical devices
Preferably having experience of coding in Python, source control and processing log files
Experience in robotics or complex electromechanical systems
Experience of working in a highly regulated industry (Medical, Aerospace or Automotive)
Experience of delivering products to market
