Urology Service Manager - Band 8b

Our client, an NHS organisation based in London is seeking an experienced operational manager to help with the day to day runnning of the urology department.

Contract: 3 to 6 months initially

Hours: 37.5 per week

Location: London

Rate: £305 per day - PAYE

The successful candidate will be responsible for;

• The achievement of national and local service targets in conjunction with Directors and Divisional Manager
• Managing admitted and non-admitted patient waiting lists including elective backlog recovery
• The implementation of performance management framework and resolution of day-to-day management issues within the Directorate
• Full operational management within the directorate with responsibilities including recruitment, induction, appraisal, development and retention of staff
• Defining and leading service improvement projects within the Directorate within agreed timeframes and financial targets
• Maintain strong stakeholder engagement to ensure that effective networks are built with other departments, working in collaboration to support efficient patient flow

The successful candidate must:

• Extensive Senior Operational Management experience within an NHS setting
• Hold a proven record of staff managemen
