Payroll and Pensions Manager | Education Sector | East Midlands| £38,000 - £50,000
Macildowie are delighted to be partnering with an east midlands based organisation within the education sector who are seeking to appoint a Payroll and Pensions Manager to lead their payroll function. You will be playing a vital role in delivering an efficient, effective and customer focused payroll and pension service to all departments across the organisation.

It is a great time to join with new senior management who have exciting plans for the coming years and you will be playing an instrumental part in both leading and delivering projects, which will significantly impact the wider organisation.

The Role
Reporting into the Head of Finance and part of the Extended Senior Management team you will be responsible for driving and making recommendations on the future strategy, identifying risks and highlighting opportunities for growth and third party income.

You will be providing proactive, high quality support to senior management in the development and delivery of the pay and reward strategy and will support management and employees to ensure best practices are in place to deliver high quality information and efficient processes.

Liaising closely with HR in all areas that relate to payroll, identifying and making recommendations for improvements in procedures and participating in any projects that contribute to service improvements.

Prior public sector experience is required with previous education experience being desirable.

  • Managing and developing an effective and high-performing payroll team
  • Leading as well as providing insight on various projects to support the wider strategy
  • Business partnering and building relationships with both internal and external stakeholders at all levels to enable payroll to enhance the service the team provides
  • Reviewing and enabling improvements of the payroll system

  • Prior management experience
  • Local Government/ Teachers Pension Scheme Experience (LGPS/ TPS)

  • Exceptional Pension
