NHS Grampian Nurseries play a crucial role in the recruitment and retention of key healthcare staff. The service operates two nurseries in Aberdeen providing a total of 155 childcare places aged from 6 months to 5 years.
We are pleased to offer applicants the opportunity to join our NHS Grampian Nurseries team at Woodend Nursery as one our Deputy Manager. Successful applicants will work alongside members of the nursery team to lead and manage the staff team and ensure that we are delivering a high standard of childcare within the nursery setting while contributing to the development of the service. This post offers an exciting opportunity of development of a career in childcare.
Applicants should have relevant experience of caring for children aged between 6 months - 5 years, within a nursery setting, in a leadership and management role. They should have experience of leading changes within a nursery setting and should be confident implementing regulatory documentation and legislation with a staff team. Applicants must have a SVQ level 4 or equivalent qualification in childcare and either have or be willing to work towards gaining a BA Childhood Practice or equivalent in line with SSSC registrations. Flexibility between the working hours of 6.30am-6.00pm would be required with availability to work on a full-time flexi basis and as the post requests.
Further experience in line with the job description and person specification is also required.
Starting salary of £31,800 per annum.
