Teaching Assistant, The Stables Independent School.
Brumstead, near Stalham, Norfolk

Closing date:
Salary: £17,364 to £18,795 FTE depending on experience and qualifications
Contract type: full-time term time plus two weeks Hours: 40 per week Monday - Friday 08:15-16:15
Help develop our growing school
We are seeking a highly motivated educational practitioner who can contribute to and enrich the educational experience of the children in our small but growing school, opened in September 2018. The Stables is an independent school catering for up to twenty-two pupils at Key Stages 1,2 and 3.
As a TA, you will support teaching and learning across the school. You will provide day-to-day support for our teachers but will also be required to lead delivery of the curriculum for individual children or small groups and become a vital part of a team tasked with creating a learning environment which complements the therapeutic environment already established in our Children's Homes, delivering positive educational outcomes for our pupils. This must be planned to meet a wide range of needs including: social, emotional, behavioural and learning difficulties.
Clover Childcare Services' Children's Homes have been very highly rated by OFSTED since 2012. With our commitment to attachment theory, inter-subjectivity and the neurobiology of maltreatment, we are looking to hear from suitably experienced teaching assistants who share the same value base. The role is ideally suited to a qualified teaching assistant with recent experience in supporting teaching and learning for individuals and small groups of pupils, in particular those with special educational needs, who can embrace our approach to learning with an attitude of playfulness, acceptance, curiosity and empathy. The majority of our children and young people have educational biographies which have been affected by developmental trauma.
Male teachers and teaching assistants are under-represented in our school and we would welcome any applications that might address this gender imbalance.
