Due to UK exiting the EU, Lockton is looking to hire an Account Manager to work on European headquartered multinational and Global accounts, in our Maltese office. This position will be within the Specie team, which forms part of the Lockton Transportation division. Specie includes insuring Fine Art, Goldware and suchlike.

Our office is based in Malta's capital; Valletta. It may be one of the smallest capital cities in Europe, but it is one of the most breathtakingly picturesque and offers all of the shops and restaurants you would expect in a city, along with stunning views of the harbour.

As an Account Manager in Malta, you will be responsible for the overall servicing of multinational and / or Global clients' policies, ensuring the business is retained and developed, coordinate with broking teams locally and in the London Market and manage the marketing process. You will be the first point of contact for clients, with regular interaction and ultimately attending client meetings in support of other associates.

You will understand your client's strategy and identify new opportunities to help grow the business, assist in managing deal flow and upholding both internal and external relationships.

Key responsibilities will include:
  • Communicating, presenting and negotiating details of cover to/with Clients and issuing coverage documents to Clients
  • Ensuring timely resolution of problems
  • Maintaining administrative lists, logs, trackers and diary systems
  • Producing Client documentation (EoC, Certificates and Policies) to evidence insurance contracts placed (as appropriate
  • Produce Client documentation (Endorsements) to evidence insurance contracts changes (as appropriate)
  • Utilising core systems / market interfacing technology to effectively process and manage the company's business

This role is ideally suited to an individual who has commercial and / or specialty insurance class knowledge, (this doesn't need to be Specie), an excellent eye for detail and the ability to effectively prioritise their workload.
