Contract: Permanent

Hours: Full Time 37.5 hours per week

Salary: Up to £40,000 max depending on experience

We have two fantastic Data Manager opportunities available within the Business Intelligence Team, one to focus on Future Funds and another to focus on our Bounce Back Loan Scheme (BBLS).

You will be responsible for the collection, validation, cleansing and transformation of data relating to an asset class. For this asset class, you will be responsible for BBB's key enterprise data required to support all relevant product and Board reporting, and be a subject matter expert on the data available to BBB for analysis and reporting on a range of investment types via a wide range of delivery partners, including investment funds, alternative finance providers and challenger banks.

You will manage the transport, transformation and validation of raw data from a range of internal and external sources, manage the data load process into the enterprise data warehouse, and direct analysts to ensure data preparation activities are completed on time and to the required standard

You will manage the timely provision of analytical data sets for product teams and other functions such as Strategy and Risk, maintain an up-to-date tracker of data from delivery partners and from liaison with Portfolio Operations and manage resolution of issues in data received from delivery partners so that complete, accurate data on BBB programmes is always available on time.

You will be responsible for defining and applying technical checks to affirm the quality and integrity of the analytical data used in relation to BBB programmes, educating, training and overseeing analysts to ensure that all technical checks are carried out in a complete, rigorous and documented way, and be responsible for reconciling all financial data with BBB Finance records.

You will take responsibility for quantitative monitoring of data quality, validation of investment data from external partners and transformation into BBB's standard data templates and validation of investment data from internal BBB sources and population of data warehouse upload templates.

Significant experience of Power BI (intermediate or above), an understanding of Data Quality and/or Business Intelligence concepts, experience using data management systems and experience of data handling tools and techniques, including data manipulation and interpretation. E.g. (but not limited to) Python, R, SQL, VBA, JavaScript would be beneficial.

Delivering to a strict production schedule, handling and validating financial data with precision and an understanding of the data attributes required to describe a range of secured and unsecured business loans will also be something you can demonstrate experience of.

Experience of the Microsoft analytics technology stack, an understanding of database design and exposure to logical data models and systems documentation, experience gained in an investment management business and experience of system implementations would be desirable.
