MMP Consultancy are working with a fantastic organisation based in London who are looking to recruit a Legal Disrepair Case Manager on a six-month fixed term contract.

The role will involve working from home, but the first two weeks may need the candidate to come into the office for training.

Job Purpose: To assist in the management of the Legal Disrepair cases inline with the Legal Disrepair Protocol. You will liaise with solicitors and residents to resolve outstanding repair claims through to resolution.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Assist in identifying trends through analysis and reporting
  • Liaise and assist the contractors in completing repairs to a high standard, including visiting residents at their homes
  • Work within the company's procedures for Legal Disrepair Protocol
  • Participate actively in, taking responsibility for ensuring the delivery of service
  • Working closely with the Legal Team, Surveying and Contractors to ensure effective communication and liaison arrangements are follows
  • Assist in identifying issues requiring a management input to ensure that effective solutions are developed and implemented
  • Work with business partners to drive delivery of KPI's

Key Performance Indicators:
  • Meet or exceed response rate required within the legal disrepair protocol
  • Ensure solicitor and resident letters are concise and comprehensive and meet the quality standards met
  • Evidence that you have strong communication channels with internal and external customers
  • Meet of exceed the deadlines of notification and ensure that all systems are updated to reflect actions carried out
  • Manage relationships and deadlines provided with contractors and internal staff to deliver excellent customer experience during the case

Essential Key Knowledge & Experience:
  • Legal Disrepair experience
  • Sound knowledge of Section 11 of the Housing Law
  • Experience of working in a legal team or field
  • Excellent communication skills including written, oral and interpersonal
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Understanding of Project Management skills
  • Ability to negotiate
  • Ability to convey important messages through good presentation skills
