The Role

Computershare have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Automation Capability Manager to join our global technology team based in Central Edinburgh.

You will be working on the "Improve Employee Experience" Programme, and will manage a talented team, made up of Automation Engineers, Principle Analysts and Testers.

You will be involved in building and developing the team, ensuring they have clear goals and objectives and discuss workloads and priorities. As our Automation Capability Manager, you will work closely with 2 key teams: Software Development and Service Operations to promote a harmonious working environment, capable of delivering against the programme objectives within an Agile culture.

Key Accountabilities:

Responsibility for ensuring the Automation Engineers are resourced and trained to deliver against the objectives of the Improve Employee Experience Programme.

Initially by defining clear goals you will ensure the IEE Automation Team is working efficiently and oversee any challenges within their day to day work environment.

Assess staffing needs against programme objectives and budget to determine resource requirements

Actively promote continuous development within the culture of the team, determining any training requirements and work towards their career development

Skills & Experience:

This role would be a great fit for someone with technical experience as a Product Owner/Manager, Scrum Master or Project Manager within an Agile environment.

Proven experience of people management within a fast-paced IT delivery environment, with the ability to bring the team on the journey with them

Great communication skills with the ability to build effective working relationships

Analytical approach to problem solving with the ability to propose solutions

Experience of Automation (robot and/or testing), ServiceNow admin, Vendor/Release Management are all highly advantageous
