National Site Services Manager

Heat Transfer Manufacturing Company

£45 - 55k Basic salary & car / allowance

A small, family run business is now looking for a National Site Services Manager to work within their heat transfer department. The firm manufacture heat transfer products such as vehicle radiators, HVAC equipment and air coolers. You will need an advanced level of training in mechanical engineering. Industry experience is ideal but if you are from a mechanical engineering background and have worked on site installation / maintenance contracts within a firm such as piping, pumps or valves, then please do still apply.

This company is continuously growing so someone who is flexible and adaptable would be a perfect fit.

The role is centred around installation, cleaning, and repairing of heat exchangers. Some are completed on site but with the nature of a lot of clients, it is impossible to relocate their equipment so you will be responsible for going on site and managing the project from conception to completion.

Customers massively vary from a manufacturer to a nuclear power plant.

Responsibilities:

Assessing work on site and dictating what is needed to successfully complete the project on time and within budget

You are accountable for completing quotations of the jobs that will be undertaken on site

You will source the most suitable labour available internally judging their expert skill sets

Managing client expectations on delivery times & project quality

Allocating staff for the planning of the works, scheduling engineers and organising specific tasks

You can be managing anywhere between 2 up to 8 people on each site at any given time

Health and Safety knowledge is essential for this role as you will personally be carrying out all the necessary checks and documentation needed

Managing and maintaining customer relationships with a view to maintaining and growing our long-term client partnerships

Noticing on site if the client will be needing any further maintenance, service, recommissioning or installation jobs and passing this over to the sales team

Experience needed:

Experience looking after contracts from conception to completion as well as communicating with engineering departments

Managing health and safety for clients

Team management of 3+ people

Mechanical Engineering background

Heat transfer experience would be absolutely ideal however, if you are from a mechanical engineering background and have complete the rest of the experience needed, then please do apply

Resource allocation and knowing what products are needed on a quantity and quality basis in order to complete the project with the best outcome

Customer focused mind-set and existing experience speaking with clients

A proactive mind-set to account management and service delivery
