We are recruiting for an experienced Retail Quality Technician ideally with knowledge of REACH and ideally EU regulations governing food contact materials. Knowledge of QMS ISO, and BRC also an understanding of the ethical trading compliance through SMETA would be desirable. Some experience of dealing with SE Asian suppliers would be useful.

As the Retail Quality Technician you will work in Leicester to be part of a small team where career development is there for the right candidate, our client can offer flexibility when it comes to hours either 9am - 5.30pm or 8am - 4.30pm and our client is going from strength to strength

As the Quality Assurance Specialist experience is the key as you will be liaising with other Quality Technicians/Managers to discuss best practice

Create formal product specifications and maintain a specification library

Conduct product inspection on selected incoming goods.

Organise pre-shipment inspection with overseas 3rd party inspectors.

Complete email/video factory audits and reports.

Alongside the Buying Team promote improvement of Supplier's quality standards

Create and maintain reference manuals covering legislative compliance.

Resolve customer complaints

Provide the Buying Team with Technical and Compliance Support

Provide the National Account Sales Team with Technical and Compliance Support.

Communicate issues/common interests with Customer's Technical Departments and provide Technical Support in customer meetings.

Take responsibility for the Quality Standard through the current status of ISO 9001 with the aim of achieving compliance to BRC.
