Teacher Training - Secondary School
Are you looking to get into teaching with a passion for science?
Do you want to become a teacher without taking time out to study?
Engage Education has 2-year in-school training program which allows you to earn while you train and gain qualified teacher status.
This two-year salaried route into teaching allows graduates to gain Qualified Teacher Status, through flexible learning in a school we will help you to choose.
This is a straightforward pathway for recent university graduates and anyone who has significant experience working with young people to enter the teaching profession.

What does the training entail?
You can complete this program over two years. In your first year, you will work full time in a local school as a Support Staff member, while receiving online and in-person expert training to prepare you for your first year as a teacher. This first year will include modules on:

Knowledge of The Teachers' Standards
*
Understanding of The Teachers' Standards
*
Reflective Summary of Learning linked to The Teachers' Standards
By the end of Year One, you'll be ready to start teaching!
Year Two of the course gives you the essential knowledge and skills to excel in your teaching career. The modules included are:

Behaviour and Classroom Management
*
Curriculum Delivery and Assessment
*
Development of The Teachers' Standards
*
Evidence of practical teaching practice
To be considered for enrolment from September 2020, applicants must have:
*
Undergraduate Honours degree at 2:2 level and above
*
GCSE Level 4 (Grade C) in English and Maths
*
If you're interested in teaching Primary, you'd also require a Grace C in Science
*
Must have a desire and passion for becoming a teacher and working in education on a long term basis.
