Job Details
Engineering Director / Director of Engineering / Design Director / Director of Design / Technical Director required to join a Global manufacturer based in the North West.
The successful Engineering Director must have a proven background / technical knowledge of hydraulics, hydraulic control systems, electro-hydraulics, hydraulic components, machine applications, or similar.
You will come from a design / NPI / Project management background with engineering leadership experience.
Package
Up to £80,000 depending on experience

Role
Provide engineering leadership within a fast-paced, industry-leading manufacturer
The Engineering Director has ownership and responsibility for achieving product and application performance
Set, maintain, and verify standards for drawings, specifications, and documents
Empower the Engineering team to ensure timely and successful completion of projects and new product introductions
Be the technical ambassador to customers on existing products and new products
Work closely with customers throughout the product lifecycle
Oversee change requests
Analyse and resolve problems and provide technical assistance and leadership
Leading the project discipline to ensure quality and financial goals are achieved
Develop engineering talent
Lead and work with project teams to control price, maintain or exceed quality expectations, deliver on project timelines
Develop and support product quality and performance
Create, develop and implement new application, product, or operational concepts
Liaise with various engineering departments both in the UK and Globally
Develop and execute strategic project and business development plans and models to include ROI, P&L fundamentals, product performance and quality requirements
Office based near Warrington with International travel
Requirements
Proven experience as an Engineering Director, Director of Engineering, Design Director, Director of Design, Technical Director, Head of Engineering, Engineering Manager (Design), Design Manager, Technical Manager or similar
A proven background / technical knowledge of hydraulics, hydraulic control systems, electro-hydraulics, hydraulic component, machine applications or similar
Degree qualified (BEng, BSc, MEng or MSc) in Engineering, mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, manufacturing engineering, aerospace engineering or similar
Strong design / project management skills
Significant experience in product design, verification testing, supplier development and customer support
Ideally commutable from Liverpool, Warrington, Manchester, Ellesmere Port, Northwich, St Helens, Wigan, Chester or surrounding areas. We would also consider candidates who are looking to relocate
