Nov 10 2020This is a flexible role which could be based at any UK GSK site, or even work from home should the successful candidate demonstrate the required capability.
In this position, you will provide leadership and deep technical expertise in Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) across the Consumer Health (CH) business. You will need to functionally lead projects in the name of creating a compliant, innovative and high-performance set of CMMS for GSK CH sites globally. You will work with a variety of central functions to ensure compliance with critical EHS and Quality standards, all whilst ensuring each region is enabled to deliver benefits to the sites and to GSK customers. As the expert in this area, you will manage talent and capability, delivering improvements beyond your core mandate, and as required for the benefit of the business, operations or the team. This will include building and maintaining a network which enables swift and detailed feedback, communications and global capability distribution.
This role will require significant project and programme management, as you drive installations, upgrades, audit responses and closures. Your work will be at the forefront of creating the new GSK consumer business and will offer you true variety in your working day. We are building something new in this team and are keen to ensure it is a high-performing, flexible and versatile function which services the needs of your customers - in this case your colleagues at sites.Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Leading the Computerised Engineering Systems design, implementation and usage across CH QSC with standardised systems and business process.
- Leverage and, through Innovation, enhance existing systems to drive value to the business
- Build, train and deploy appropriate templates and standards based on:
- EHS and QMS compliance requirements
- Business requirements to optimise asset performance, cost and on time and in full delivery of our products
- Manage system lifecycle and the Engineering IT strategy across all sites in CH QSC
- Evaluate and assess the impact of changes both internal (eg. QMS) or external (eg. version/supplier update) for existing systems
- Establish and lead appropriate community of practices to share best practises and maximise standardisation of design across CH QSC for designated systems.
- Identify key talent and build organisational capability within regions; promote inter-site networking
- Support network changes ensuring compliant exits for existing sites and gap analysis and closure for acquisitions and additions
In this position, we are looking for someone ambitious and flexible. You will respond well to variety, managing to multi-task across projects whilst maintaining a focus on delivering successful results. To support a range of sites you will need to be able to consider and absorb alternative perspectives, understanding the needs and preferences of your site customers. Handling this range of customers will also require versatility - in both your approach and your communication style, which must be highly developed in order to build and maintain a fantastic international network.
As the new CH organisation develops, you will be expected to wear multiple hats - taking on a range of engineering and technical leadership requirements and turning your hand to other challenges which you can support. This will be a more flexible leadership team, but one in which you will be trusted and allowed to work autonomously. This trust necessitates credibility, so a demonstrated track record of success and a confident approach in your decision making and communication style is essential.CLOSING DATE for applications: Wednesday 25th November (COB)

- Degree qualified in an Engineering discipline
- Holds registered membership of an Engineering Professional body
- Deep and demonstrable expertise in Engineering Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
- Experience in a highly compliant industry, such as healthcare, pharma or FMCG
- Demonstrated record of successful project delivery
- Significant experience of manufacturing operations
- Previous experience in a formal management/leadership role
- Hands on Project Management experience, including the introduction of new business systems
- Holds chartered engineering status
- Additional and higher-level formal qualifications
- Training/certification in additional, relevant specialisms such as Lean/Six Sigma
- Hands on experience with SAP
- Experience with Infor
