We are currently recruiting for a PQ Management Accountant on behalf of a thriving Lancashire business. Working as part of a small finance team and reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation the management accounts and other financial reporting.

About the Role

As a Management Accountant you will be responsible for preparing monthly management accounts, reports and variance analysis, bank reconciliations, general ledger management, balance sheet reconciliations, VAT returns, annual audit / tax pack requirements and other ad-hoc finance tasks as and when required.

Main duties:

* Preparation Monthly Reporting Packs including commentaries on key variances to budget in line with the month end timetable

* Reconciling all balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis

* Preparation of month end journals

* Analysis of P&L accounts

* Daily sales and bank reconciliations

* Maintaining the fixed asset register

* Completing VAT returns on a quarterly basis

* Account reconciliation

* Managing both the sales & purchase ledger including aged debt escalation

* Allocating of cash receipts

* Assisting with the production of weekly sales reports

* Assist with year end

Experience required:

* Studying towards ACCA/CIMA (part qualified)

* Excellent Excel skills

* Experience within a similar position and looking for career progression
