Job Details

The head teacher at a local secondary school have asked me to seek a Teaching Assistant. A Teaching Assistant experienced with Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH). They need 2 Secondary Teaching Assistants to support students who have been diagnosed with anxiety & depression.

The positions are to start ASAP and on a long term to perm basis.

The perfect candidates will have strong classroom/behaviour management skills, an appealing and encouraging approach and a supporting manner.

Requirements:
• Specialist SEBD (Social, Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties) School
• SEBD experience
• Team-teach trained (we can offer this)
• Possess strong classroom/behaviour management skills

About the Role:

You will be working with challenging and difficult behaviour and therefore need to be a strong and adaptable. Your role could also include supporting pupil improvement and development in and outside the classroom, complementing the work and direction given by the Teacher.

The School:

A state special school for boys and girls aged from 7 to 16. Type of SEN provision: SEMH - Social, Emotional and Mental Health.
