We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Applications & Infrastructure Engineer (3rd Line) to provide effective IT assistance and advanced IT support across all aspects of the business.
This is a brand-new role that will report directly into the Technology Manager, with regular communication with the Service Delivery Manager. You will be responsible for supporting and maintaining the technical infrastructure of the combined businesses of Lime Pictures (London and Liverpool), including Lion TV (London, Glasgow and NYC), Wise Owl Films (Leeds) as well as the applications which run on it. You will be based predominantly out of Liverpool with some travel to London and Glasgow required.
The environment is primarily Windows Server and Desktop operating systems with a small, but growing Mac OS X footprint. The position provides exposure to a broad range of IT-related projects and activities enabling Lime to keep on a path of continued improvement.Some key elements of the role include:
•Escalate IT issues to the Technology Manager/Service Delivery Manager where necessary
•Support, maintain and develop the Lime/LION IT Service Desk by acting as a senior escalation point.
•The ability to explain technical challenges/solutions in a user-friendly format to both staff members, management & other key stakeholders
You will thrive on being the go-to person and will have the ability to build positive relationships with an established team and wide range of stakeholders at all levels of the business.You will have strong technical and analytical skills and solid experience in problem analysis and resolution of hardware/software problems.
This is a high-volume role across multiple sites and operations so excellent organisational skills, a cool head under pressure and the ability to handle clients professionally during all interfaces are a must.
You must have substantial proven experience in a third line capacity role, ideally in an environment of 200+ users and be comfortable with large scale deployment/ operations and installation configurations in a complex network environment.
You will have a good understanding of Citrix XenDesktop, routing & switching (VLAN/LACP/Static & Dynamic Routing/802.1X Authentication, Layer 2/3, SIP) as well as Powershell & Automation
