An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified Teacher of Maths to maintain a high standard of teaching, inspire the students and continue to drive up performance within a Good Ofsted rates Secondary school based in the Matlock area of Derbyshire.
The school is average size outstanding facilities throughout. The school has recently completed a modernisation period and the facilities reflect this throughout the departments.
You will be working within a highly successful secondary school who are the first choice for parents of children from 16 different primary schools around the catchment area.
This is a school with high academic standards and are committed to ensuring that all students make students achieve academic and personal excellence. You will need to be resourceful and innovative in your teaching approach and be able to teach all aspects of Maths at KS3-4, and ideallt Maths at KS5
The ideal candidate will be a Mathematics specialist only no second subjects considered for this specific role however would be considered for other opportunities
The position is full time to start January2021 to cover maternity leave. This position could be a temp to perm opportunity for the right candidate.
The role is flexible and could become either full or part time.
Requirements
Secondary Teacher of Maths KS3-4
Must hold a UK recognised teaching qualification, i.e. BSc QTS, BA QTS, CERT ED, PGCE, B.Ed
Have QTS or QTLS and are registered with either IfL or The Education & Training Foundation. * Be an inspirational role model; committed to their own learning and that of others
Have a positive mind-set and a desire to develop the whole person
Be committed to improving the life-chances of young people
