Assistant Technical Manager

About this Role:
A major civil engineering contractor are recruiting an Assistant Technical Manager to join their rail and infrastructure division to offer support to the delivery teams and clients throughout project lifecycles. The business are a multi-discipline contractor working with clients including Network Rail, Highways England, London Underground and private sector clients and operate as principal contractor on schemes up to £75 million.

Projects you're likely to be involved within the infrastructure division includes platform extensions, station adjustments, geotechnical repairs, highway upgrades, bridge repairs and replacement, major enabling works and tunnelling.

Duties will include:
*Provide technical support to the delivery teams to aid their understanding of the design and temporary works
*Produce designs reviewing risk and opportunities to create successful commercial results
*Support the delivery team to review technical aspects from key subcontractors
*Ensure designs and temporary works adhere to the required specifications
*Manage the performance, quality and timeliness of designs from external designers
*Engage with stakeholders, suppliers and the client with regards to engineering aspects

It is essential you have civil engineering experience and are likely to have come from a site based engineering role.
