Job Details
My Client is a very exciting and growing Biotech using cutting edge technology to satisfy unmet needs in the Ophthalmology arena. They are looking for an experienced Contracts Manager to be based across any of their 3 locations in San Francisco, Pennsylvania or Stevenage offices.
Responsibilities include:
* Enhance and maintain the contract process, policy, training and tools as well as the contract management system
* Maintain and update the company's contract templates
* Assist clients across the organisation in submitting requests for contract support via the contract management system
* Monitor, support and implement the process for drafting, negotiating, approval and execution of contracts, including compliance with financial authorization and procurement policies and other corporate governance requirements
* Manage record keeping for all contract-related correspondence and documentation relevant for audit purposes
* Draft, negotiate and prepare for approval and execution certain types of contracts including for example confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements, vendor master services agreements and consulting arrangements
* Train staff and mentor in-department Contracts Champions on contract process and system
* Ensure the contract repository is accurate and up to date
* Generate reports, presentations, spreadsheets, memos and other documents, as requested, reporting on contracts and contract management system
* Complete special projects, as requested
The ideal candidate will have:
* Bachelor's Degree in related topic such as Business Administration or Business Law
* Relevant experience in contracts management, with prior in-house experience as a member of a legal department in a life sciences/biotech company or a private practice legal firm strongly preferred
* International contract experience
* Highly effective problem solving and communication skills
* Proven ability to meet deadlines
* A demonstrated ability to collaborate at all levels of the organisation
* Capable of balancing competing priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with a high level of professionalism
* Strong organisational skills with proven ability to handle multiple projects at any given time
* Detail-oriented
* Ability to handle confidential and proprietary information using discretion and judgment
* Self-motivated, able to work independently and be reliable and responsive
* Ability to be flexible and willing to accept new responsibilities as needed
