Located a few miles from the historic city of Oxford, there is a vacancy for an enthusiastic SENDCO/Inclusion lead to undertake a full-time role starting January 2021 - or as close to that date as possible.
A summary of some of the key points of the role are below.
Support and be part of the Leadership Team
Lead and manage staff within inclusion and teacher support.
Support and uphold the school's policies on behaviour, discipline and bullying
Develop an alternative curriculum that supports specific needs
Undertake responsibility for Child Protection, Lead behaviour professional, Gifted & Talented.
Co-ordinate and update the VPR.
Ensure the objectives of the SEND policy are reflected in the school improvement plan. Liaise with, and co-ordinate the contributions of external agencies.
Set a good example in terms of dress, punctuality and attendance
Attend and participate in open evenings and student performances
Uphold the school's code of conduct
Participate in staff training
Attend team and staff meetings
Develop links with governors, the Trust, agencies and neighbouring schools
Keeping up to date with legislation and guidance from central government, And other relevant matters, and advise the Trust colleagues of any material changes and any actions required
