£26,295 to £30,094

Our client are a leading professional body representing more than 20,000 school and college leaders across the UK.

They are seeking to appoint a Press Officer to handle media inquiries and write press releases in order to continue to raise their profile and influence and to position the association as the leading voice of school and college leaders.

This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to join an experienced public relations team which delivers their internal and external communications.


The role involves the following duties:
Handle media inquiries, coordinate responses, arrange broadcast interviews and monitor daily news feeds


Organise and edit blogs from the association's policy team


Monitor media activity, communications and statistics from relevant organisations


Work with Cymru and Northern Ireland associations to build media profile and influence.

The ideal candidate will have excellent written and communication skills, and experience of working in journalism or public relations. Experience of working in the field of education is highly desirable.

The post-holder will be based at our clients Headquarters in Leicester (when circumstances allow) and may involve attendance at other locations across the UK as required.

This role is paid on a five-point incremental range from £26,295 to £30,094. Reasonable travel and out-of-pocket expenses are also covered.
