PHP Developer, Havant (PO9), £40k to £45k

Avanti Recruitment is currently working with an extremely successful company based in Havant, near Portsmouth. Interviews and onboarding will be done remotely and the role will be a mixture of office based and remote in future.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced developer to join a busy team in a fast paced environment. You will be responsible for building websites and microservices and will have a lot of autonomy. Lots of the work is greenfield so it is an ideal role for someone who wants to make a big impact and develop their career in a successful and growing organisation.

The role;

* Build and implement microservices which complement company websites and systems

* Build and improve in-house software systems

* Implement 3rd party APIs

* Create innovative web applications and internal tools

Skills required;

* Good experience of development with PHP

* Experience of an MVC framework such as Laravel, CakePHP, Zend

* Experience configuring Apache/Nginx

* Good knowledge of working with and developing RESTful systems

* MySQL / relational databases

* Version control systems

Desirable skills;

* JavaScript, Node.js, React.js, Vue.js, Angular

* Knowledge of Design patterns

* Continuous Integration tools like Jenkins

* Redis / Cassandra

* Experience of Unit Testing

* Front End experience with HTML5, CSS3
