Summary: The head of a client SEN school based in Newport is looking for x3 LSA's with an SEN background to work within their primary aged classes starting ASAP. Pay will be £60.00 - £75.00 a day based on expeirence and performance.

The Role: You will be employed to support pupils with a diagnosis of Autism. You will help them through their daily routine and keep them on task achieve their daily goals. The school day will start at 9:00am and end at 3:30pm, Monday - Friday. Full time availability is a must for this role.

The School: Based in the heart of Newport this specialist school caters for Students aged 3-19 with a diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC) Global Delay, complex and medical needs, ADHD, Non Verbal, Asperger's Syndrome and SEMH.

Experience: Ideally experience working within a SEN setting is desired, this may include; care work, teaching assisting, play work, nursery nurse or nursing. Personal experience with special needs is also welcome. Additional training can be provided where needed for the right candidate. This role would be perfect for Psychology graduates or an individual with a care background. Working 1:1 with the designated pupil in classrooms with typically 7-8 students
Hugely supportive and friendly team of staff at every level
Training is also provided for the right individual
The Ideal Candidate will:

Have SEN experience, personal or professional (desirable but not essential)
Have transferable skills and experiences (care, nursery, play work)
Be Manual Handling or Team Teach Trained (desirable but not essential)
Hold a full UK driving licence and have own transport
Have a contagious personality
Be able to think on their feet
Work well under pressure
Be confident in what they do
Have experience working with challenging behaviour
