In alignment with the release of Catch-up funding by the government to schools in the UK, Teaching Personnel are in search of LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANTS to work 1:1 and in small groups with children who require additional mentoring. As a learning support assistant, you will be a crucial part of a wider approach to mitigate the implications of lost time in education during the pandemic.
We are looking with individuals with the following skills:
Knowledge of attachment disorder and childhood trauma
Knowledge of behavioural management techniques and a confident approach to minimising challenging behaviour
Knowledge of mental health disorders
Experience working in childcare, school or hospital settings
The role will involve:
Working 1:1 with students who require additional mentoring
Working in small focus groups to support students who are struggling as a result of school closures during the pandemic
Communicating with parents, building rapport, and reporting child progress
Working alongside the teacher and senior leadership to continually drive school improvement
