OA Executive has partnered with a medical organisation in their search for a Risk Manager to join their team in a brand new role. Based within their Risk team, this is a busy and varied role which has arisen due to continuous growth within the business.
Reporting directly to the Head of Business Planning and Reporting, you will enable the effective operation of risk management framework. This will include training, coaching and advising staff, managing risks and opportunities as well as providing centralised reporting.
Maintain the risk management framework, identifying and implementing opportunities for continuous improvement
Acting as a source of advice to Senior Management on emergent trends from threat and opportunity management practices within the business and across the broader health and regulatory environment
Maintain reporting of risks and opportunities through written reports and verbal presentations
Supporting the risk and opportunity escalation processes to a Corporate level and supporting the routine review and quality assurance of identified risks and opportunities
Act as a local source of expertise on risk and opportunity management for staff, raising awareness with staff and their risk responsibilities
Delivering training and coaching to support best practice
Testing risk practices
Support the effective design and implementation of the work programme through planning and budgeting
Ensuring risk is effectively considered as part of planning and used to help shape the optimal approach for delivery
Provide effective and inclusive management and leadership to a team supporting their personal development and helping to develop their skills and knowledge
The ideal candidate for this position will have a sound and proven background within risk management practice and will understand the frameworks and models within risk. You will be capable of applying the relevant techniques to ensure that risk is appropriately identified and mitigated and will have the analytical skills to understand complex issues around medical regulation.
With the ability to think creatively and contribute to discussion on risk management, you will be an excellent communicator who can present information on complex issues clearly. You will have high levels of accuracy, strong attention to detail, the ability to build positive relationships and an excellent team player capable of working with diplomacy. Finally, you will be IT literate with sound working knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.
