Our client, a global IT services consultancy is currently looking to build a brand new function which you could be involved in, therefore, this position falls within a completely new and exciting team within the Digital Workplace Services team which you'll have the opportunity to lead!
The Infrastructure Support Team Leader's main focus will be guiding and assisting the Support Engineer's as well as providing support to end-users, covering desktops, server and basic networking ensuring optimal performance is delivered and SLAs are met. You will have 3 direct reports and yourself will be reporting into the SSC Modern Workplace Operations Manager.
This position will consist of shift work of evenings and nights weekly and ensuring all shifts are covered. The reasoning behind the shift work is so that our client can provide support to their businesses that work within different times zones (particularly the APac time zone).
Responsibilities for the Infrastructure Support Team Leader will include (but are not limited to):
·You will be responsible for the team of Support Infrastructure Engineers, managing their shifts, ensuring all shifts are covered as well as introducing and training new team members.
·Perform regular one to ones, and quarterly reviews with team members, providing guidance and advice
·Using the appropriate technologies and professional expertise to effectively diagnose problems and issues within the SSC
·Act as a single point of contact for all IT issues and queries, supporting your team members at all times
Skills required for the Infrastructure Support Team Leader include (but are not limited to):
·You must have a strong management skills and be extremely interpersonal and approachable
·Extensive experience of Microsoft Windows servers and products such as Office 365 & Azure
·Hold a few recognised certifications, such as: MCP, MCSA, CCNA, MCSE or ITIL
·Have the ability to read and understand technical manuals and ITIL Frameworks
