Project Engineer - Electronics required. My client is a specialist manufacturer in UPS systems and diesel generators across the UK, Channel Islands and the Isle of Man. They are looking to recruit a Junior Project Coordinator to join their Projects Team and liaise with customers and engineers to organise remedial works on the company's range of UPS and generator installations. The role will cover the UK, based from their head offices in Hampshire.
The successful candidate will have excellent planning and logistical skills alongside an interest in electronics and project works. You will also hold a relevant qualification in Electrical/Electronic Engineering such as HNC/HND or NVQ Level 2 or be apprenticeship served. Additional knowledge of generators and/or UPS systems is advantageous, but not essential as internal products and systems training will be provided. This is an excellent opportunity for a Junior Coordinator to forge a long term career within the Projects Team of a busy office environment.
Project Engineer - Electronics Position Overview
Manage up to 40 projects simultaneously, maintaining excellent customer contact and arranging service engineers and equipment where required, with the aim of achieving on-budget, profitable, prompt and faultless delivery
Produce project plans that meet customer specifications to monitor progress against
Ensure work is carried out economically whilst meeting agreed project specifications
Record, report and resolve any issues or delays
Ensure all relevant paperwork is signed off and saved following project completion
Project Engineer - Electronics Position Requirements
Excellent logistical and organisational skills, to be used on a daily basis
Effective communicator at all levels, work well under pressure and to deadlines
Understanding/appreciation of Health & Safety requirements
Knowledge of UPS/generators desirable
Flexible approach to work, willing and able to work out of hours where necessary
Full (clean) UK driving license and prepared to travel when required
Project Engineer - Electronics Position Remuneration
£22,000 - £26,000 depending on experience
20 days' holiday + bank holidays (increases with years of service)
37 hour working week: Mon-Thurs: 9am - 5:30pm, Fri: 9am - 5pm
