My clientis an award-winning legal firm that specialises in residential conveyancing and property law. They now have an exciting opportunity for a Conveyancing Assistant to join their team based centrally in Norwich.

Role responsibilities:
  • Taking instructions from clients
  • Drafting or checking sales contracts and agreeing terms with the conveyancer acting for the other party to the transaction
  • Obtaining or checking Land Registry documents or title deeds (if the land is unregistered)
  • Collating and sending or checking supporting legal and financial documents
  • Communicating professionally with clients over the phone, via email and letter
  • Dealing with financial aspects of a transaction such as statements and payments to third parties
  • Prepare correspondence and documents using audio typing, word processing or digital dictation methods
  • Administer filing systems which will include daily filing and the opening, closing, storage and retrieval of client files
  • Using a computerised case management system to update clients and third parties
  • Ensure the confidentiality of all practice and client documentation and information
  • Maintain professional standards at all times
  • To carry out any other duties and responsibilities that may be required by the firm

Person specification:
  • Previous experience working within residential conveyancing is essential
  • Ability to work in a high volume, high pressured environment and therefore
  • Experience working under pressure and to strict deadlines
  • A polite and clear telephone manner
  • Strong organisation and communication skills
  • A hard working, proactive and driven attitude
  • To be fully conversant with Microsoft Office
