Job Details

We are working with an expert professional services business, a respected company who have strong core values and beliefs. This is a busy team and they are looking for an experienced Legal Secretary to work full time hours and support their Legal Advisors.

This is an office based position.

On a day to day basis, your role will involve:

· Accurately create and input documents from digital dictation onto the case management system, checking with the Legal Advisor on any unclear details and ensuring that the document is properly constructed and accurately conveys his/her meaning
· Draft straightforward Transfers and Contract Agreements using the precedents provided
· Ensure correct enclosures are attached to letters
· Open and create new files
· Use Land Registry website effectively
· Submit searches via TM Group, downloading search results and saving into Caseplan
· Use Oyez forms accurately
· Effectively manage calendar by inputting deadlines for OS search and bankruptcy expiry dates, completion dates, replies to Land Registry Requisitions, and such other key dates as are appropriate
· Complete cheque chitties, TT/CHAPS, journal transfers and BACS Forms
· Complete Stamp Duty Land Tax Forms and submit online and pay tax by BACS within time limit
· Submit AP1s on Land Registry Portal or via TM Group (where appropriate)
· Ensure completed Land Registry applications are printed and saved to Caseplan
· Obtain office copy entries and documents lodged at Land Registry
· Manage Legal Advisor emails appropriately and effectively when latter away from office
· Complete Mortgage Deeds for signature
· Complete the information on Certificates of Title with instruction from the Legal Advisor
· Effectively deal with completions
· Ensure all photocopying is accurate; take responsibility for checking photocopying done by Office Assistant
· Ensure all post is checked and subsequently signed by the Legal Advisor and that it is ready for collection by the nominated time
· Deal accurately and promptly with the filing of all correspondence and documentation
· Prepare files for archiving and complete deletion forms promptly
· Attend to clients on the phone and in person, accurately recording any messages and passing on to the appropriate person without delay
· Schedule appointments, arrange meetings, and maintain up-to-date diaries using the appropriate diary function, if requested

Their ideal candidate will have previous legal secretarial experience, be a confident MS office user and have strong organisational skills (minimum typing speed 60 wpm)
