Job Details

We are currently looking for a Carrier Manager to join our wider transport team based at our Distribution site in Leicester.

Reporting to the National Distribution Manager, you will continuously improve the service levels, capacities, and costs of the Topps Tiles carrier networks to ensure promises to the customers are being maintained. You will identify risks, issues and opportunities and deploy innovative solutions and techniques in response to them, to improve Logistics delivery.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Measuring the performance and service quality of multiple carriers, and acting to drive performance improvements when needed.
  • Prepare and leads Ops calls, daily/weekly/monthly reviews
  • Identifying development opportunities that improve carrier service, and creating and presenting rounded business cases.
  • Owning the delivery of carrier related development projects.
  • Providing support with Carrier tendering and contract management
  • Advise Topps Tiles leadership team proactively on critical situations along with the expected impact and mitigation actions planned
  • Produces and communicate forecasts on a regular basis
  • Manage carrier related escalations
  • Drive root-cause analysis and the successful implementation of corrective actions with carriers to improve service or cost, or to resolve a problem
  • Drive innovation by taking ownership of new projects and its operational success

Key Skills / Attributes:
  • Experienced in working in customer fulfilment, preferably within the carrier industry.
  • Used to managing relationships with service providers and stakeholders to drive them to deliver the highest standards.
  • Able to demonstrate the delivery of innovation and continuous improvement for the end customer.
