Education World are seeking a Teaching Assistant in Rotherham (South Yorkshire) to work on a full-time basis in a Special Educational Needs (SEND) school.
What's the job?
This position is ideal for those who are seeking a new challenge and wanting to work with teenagers in a SEND environment and in a different and friendly school.
You will work in a small classroom with 1 Teacher and another Teaching Assistant. You'll be responsible for assisting the student learning in any and every given (key) subject, along with assistant with any behavioural issues.
Functional / Life skills are generally very important part of learning in the school setting as well.
Your typical hours will be 8:45am - 3:45pm.
The school is an alternative provision for students with some form of challenging behavioural issue - some attributed from Autism and Special Educational Needs. The school provide education which is very special and tailored to the varied needs of their pupils.
Pupils are predominately teenagers (11-16 years old) and can express challenging behaviour and sometimes come out with very 'colourful language'.
You will receive £60 per day
