Our client is a leading Telecommunications company who are committed to providing high quality products and services in the UK. They are looking for a Paralegal to join their busy technology and outsourcing team.

Job Overview

The principle role of a Paralegal is to support in the finalisation of a contract and advise stakeholders of any changes to the drafted contract, contracts will usually be focused around medium to large IT driven projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Commercial drafting of legal business contracts mostly centred around IT Procurement.
Provide cost management support on a contractual basis.
Understand the context of the contract and reasoning for the programme.
Review and comment on the schedules to the contract generated by the business stakeholders.
Inform and advise the business stakeholders of any changes recommended to those draft schedules from a legal/contractual perspective to ensure the schedules of the contract.
Read in conjunction with the main body of the contract and accurately reflect the requirements of the business stakeholders on an end to end basis.
Undertake drafting where necessary in order to articulate the outputs of the discussions with stakeholder.
Attend calls and virtual meetings with or in substitution for the management team to understand the instructions of the business and clarify any uncertainties.
Who we're looking for:

Experienced in commercial contractual drafting.
Numerate and accurate in presenting cost data, paying close attention to detail.
Adept at accurately reconciling cost data with project progress to produce valuable insights.
Excellent IT skills and ability to use Word, Excel and develop skills in Case Management Systems.
Has experienced interface with Managers and contractors.
Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
Strong understanding of the IT and procurement sector.
Law degree or other legal qualification desirable.
