The AISR Software team develops bespoke integrated ISR mission systems utilising their agnostic framework, for a diverse range of customers.

As an Information Network Security Engineer, you will provide SME InfoSec advice to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Whilst working closely with the team you will oversee audit and compliance reporting of projects and upgrades across the Information Security environment. Responsible for providing networking and operating system fault resolution for the in-service mission system environments and involved in the full software development lifecycle of multiple programmes.

Key Responsibilities:
Providing support resolution for the various programmes.
Conducting audits and security-risk analysis on company-designed mission support systems
Reviewing, updating and producing mission system information security policies and guidance note to ensure compliance with system security requirements.
Supporting development of future secure operating system baselines.
Supporting future network implementations.
Providing guidance to the software engineers on security requirements for agile based software development.
Assisting in the development of project security plans and cost estimates
Develop and maintain security documentation (policies, standards, guidelines and procedures)
Maintaining and developing the software development environment used by the software engineers.
Assisting with engineering tasks including the development of product security-related deliverables, configuration and testing of production systems and assisting field support where required.
Implement InfoSec framework and standards from inception through to implementation
Influence stakeholders and work with all levels of the business
Willingness to travel if required

Essential:
You will be proactive and innovative with a 'can do attitude'. As a member of small highly-skilled team, the roles and responsibilities will be broad and varied.
You will have experience in the administration and design of Microsoft Windows environments including management of group policies. Must be motivated by the challenge of analysing systems in order to identify and control risk in these areas.
Experience of CISCO networking products
An able communicator in verbal, written and presentation forms.
A logical problem solver, who can operate effectively under project and time constraints.
Able to use initiative to identify opportunities to improve process and performance to enhance the service provided to the customer.
Experience of evaluating systems and network devices and enterprise networks for IA/Security vulnerabilities

Desirable:
We are looking for demonstrable experience in some key technologies and a willingness to pick up new skills along the way
Recent SIEM experience would be desirable.
Experience in conducting periodic network scans, penetration tests, to highlight or find any weaknesses that might be exploited.
The ability to monitor and investigate security breaches, intrusion or irregular system behaviour.
Demonstrable working experience of ISO27001.
Degree in computer sciences or equivalent experience.
Knowledge of Microsoft Azure /Microsoft team foundation server.
CCNA (Routing & Switching) or working towards CCNA.
Some familiarity with common network vulnerability/penetration testing tools including, but not limited to, Kali Linux tools, Nessus, and Nmap.
The ability to support legacy system migration and support legacy system technologies.

Eligible for or Holder of current SC security clearance as a minimum (RTX will sponsor as required)
