T2Z Care Services Ltd have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Domiciliary Care Manager to lead our Domiciliary Home Care service!

Objective

Reporting to the Registered Manager, the Domiciliary Care Manager is responsible for ensuring that a high-quality care service is delivered to The Organisation's Service Users within a specified geographical area. They will be responsible for all care delivered to service users within their area and ensuring that the policies and procedures of The Organisation are implemented and followed.

Main Tasks of position

· Responsible for the on-call rota and ensuring the compliance of the service is to a high standard in line with CQC requirements.

· Undertake initial visits to new service users to set up a care package ensuring all paperwork is completed including all risk assessments etc.

. Setting up client contracts and regularly updating systems in line with GDPR as well as accepting care packages and producing Person Centred Care Plans.

· Explain Paperwork and service to clients.

· Undertake care reviews in association with other professional colleagues such as Occupational Therapist.

· Attend service reviews and/or care conferences with social workers.

· Highlight any care package amendments required to Registered Manager and OT.

. Provide regular weekly telephone support calls to all working carers and report any relevant feedback regarding carers/clients as required

Care Delivery

· Introduce new carers to clients and train new cares in the practical delivery of care.

· Undertake care visits when required, e.g. due to staff sickness or when new service users have not yet been allocated a care team and provide out of hours "on call" cover.

· Provide on call cover where no cover can be found with the staff team.

· Develop positive relationships with all agencies involved in the delivery of care to the service users in their patch and seek to further develop the level of business undertaken by The Organisation in their area.

. Taking on new client referrals from social services, private individuals and other organisations.

. Contact clients and staff and communicate necessary information to them regarding the provision of care services.

. Update client and carer records on an ongoing basis and ensure accuracy of records.

. Answer telephone calls from clients and staff and deal with their queries in line with the policies and procedures of The Organisation.

. Some admin duties and other duties as deemed necessary by Managers.

Quality Assurance and Communication

· Undertake QA visits as directed by the Registered Manager.

· Attend staff/management meetings as required.

· Ensure Registered Manager is aware of resource issues so that recruitment can be planned.

· Bring to the attention of the Registered Manager any complaint made by a service user.

· Bring to the attention of the Registered Manager any issue concerning carers.

· Be proactive in reporting back to Registered Manager any issue effecting the delivery of care.

. Log all compliments and complaints.

. Keep a record of client's reviews and manage the client review process.

. Providing exemplary customer service to all Clients and Care Support Workers by building and maintaining strong relationships

Staff

. Ensure holiday/sickness leave, long term leave and emergency calls are assigned.

. Manage staff holidays and days off.

. Track staff sickness and holidays taken.

. Ensure a constant bank of carers is available.; place job adverts, liaise with job centres, inform admin/finance staff of new hires, ensure required documentation is processed.

. Ensure that the policies and procedures of the company are followed by all staff and take appropriate action where necessary in line with the policies and procedures of the company. Ensure that any inconsistencies with the policies and procedures of the company are reported to the Registered Manager.

The position is a full-time role Monday to Friday 9.00am - 5.30pm. In addition, we require the perfect candidate to be flexible to respond to emergencies in the event of staff shortages.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and well-presented
The ability to work under pressure
Strong IT skills and able to use Microsoft Office
Be highly organised and able to prioritise tasks with a flexible approach
Able to maintain confidentiality and establish good working relationships
Level 3 RQF / NVQ in health and social care, or currently working towards
Experience of Staff Plan or similar software rostering tool, and excellent IT skills
Have a full driving licence with access to your own vehicle

Competitive salary of £20,000 per annum raising to £24,000 after 6 months
Full time permanent contract
Paid mileage (25p per mile for on-call)
On-call care allowance is flat rate at £9.82 per hour (outside of office hours; 9.00am - 5.30pm)
