Your new role

Southend Borough Council is seeking to recruit a Learning Partner and Digital Learning Specialist to join Workforce Development Team on full time and temporary basis (until 31^st March 2021 with a potential to extend). As a Learning Partner and Digital Learning Specialist, you will act as the primary learning contact for SBC ICT requirements and technologies, building and maintaining long term collaborative and sustainable relationships with the key Stakeholders within ICT.

You will collaborate with colleagues across the wider team to transform current learning material into effective and engaging digital learning content. You will design and deliver classroom based or virtual training sessions in conjunction with SMEs across the Council. The post holder will manage the Council's e-learning platform and support the development of an annual eLearning programme, working with SMEs and Stakeholders to identify mandatory and role-specific eLearning courses

What you'll need to succeed

Previous experience of working within the Learning and Development team or 1+ Years' experience within an Instructional Designer / Digital Learning Specialist role is highly essential for this role. To be successful in this role, it is highly essential that you have experience of using authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Articulate Rise, Adapt and the Adobe Suite.

You will be liaising with a variety of stakeholders across different levels, so it is essential that you are able to communicate (verbal and written) and listen effectively.

CIPD / L&D qualifications will be highly advantageous but not essential.
