My client is a global multi-national pharmaceutical organisation based in the West Lothian area, due to expansion they have an immediate requirement for an experienced Training Manager to join them on a permanent basis.

Based within the HR team, you will provide strategic and operational support, working closely with the Department Heads to plan, design and deliver training activities.

Responsibilities will include:

Overseeing all training programmes
Determine training needs and requirements for the organisation by partnering with managers / departmental training coordinators and the wider business
Create training calendars to improve training efficiency
Support departmental training coordinators to ensure current training materials are relevant and appropriate
Work with managers to ensure there are systems in place to highlight skills gaps and develop training plans
Manage training budget
Keeping abreast of new educational and training techniques
On a day to day basis plan, co-ordinate training activities across all departments
To oversee that best cGMP work practices and techniques to train staff are being applied
Ensure that all staff are appropriately trained and competent in the procedures they are conducting and are in compliance with best cGMP working practices at all times
Develop and ensure delivery of a training plan to build on the skills of current personnel and allow rapid contribution from new personnel
Help develop and maintain competency levels within all manufacturing
Responsible for all training record to be accurate and compliantTo be considered for this position, candidates must have the following background and skills:

Solid experience of working within a similar Training, L&D &/or HR position
Experience of working within pharmaceutical or scientific organisations
Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
Able to develop strong relationships
Experience with traditional and modern training methods
