Pertemps Scotland Ltd are working with our client in Glasgow to recruit for a fully qualified CCAB Accountancy and Development Process Officer on a temporary basis for 6 months.
Due to current circumstances the role will be working from home for the foreseeable.
Day rate of £146 - £153
To take a lead role for the Accountancy function ensuring we are able to further develop and deploy the accountancy and related set of streamlined processes in the new Finance and Procurement Systems in order that we realise agreed benefits and savings
To take a support role in working with Development Manager & Workstream leads to fully integrate with the HR & Procurement System and Job Costing Satellite systems again realising and agreed set of benefits and savings.
To lead specific projects as directed by the Programme Managers and Core Systems Development Manager
To ensure the ambitions of the Senior Responsible Owner (SRO) and Core Corporate Systems Programme Board relating to Accountancy related activities and processes are met by the programme.
To take a lead role in the development of a new system and processes for Accountancy
To take the lead role in ensuring that the Accountancy processes within the overall programme meet the requirements of the Service Departments & ERCLT and the statutory and non-statutory requirements of the Council.
Take the lead role in covering all other appropriate aspects required to deliver the outputs that will lead to the anticipated operational benefits for the all Services and minimise financial control issues
To monitor the benefits/outcomes required of the programme and initiate corrective action where required.
To liaise with and challenge all project teams, service managers and accountancy practitioners in the optimisation of Accountancy business processes and benefits. Provide advice and guidance on complex issues in order to minimise risk and obtain the best outcome for all Services as the Core Systems Programme of Work is implemented
To oversee activities associated with the Accountancy business process benefits realisation and ensure that arrangements are put in place so that such benefits can continue to be measured after the programme has been fully implemented.
To promote and develop a customer oriented ethos, ensuring that all Service & ERCLT Accountancy processes are designed from a user perspective.
To support relevant project teams and workstreams as subject expert, deploying Accountancy knowledge and experience. Liaise with team members, accountancy practitioners and service managers as required to:
Assess all options for service/benefits delivery, including potential impacts on all Services
Ensure that all statutory and non-statutory requirements are met
Anticipate potential future service demands/developments as far as possible
Design efficient associated business processes
Identify and maximise benefits and outcomes
Support the Programme and Project teams in establishing milestones and implementation of changes
